Benefits
TA (Temporary Assistance): Short-term cash aid for low-income individuals/families, managed by county/state.
SSI (Supplemental Security Income): Federal long-term cash assistance for people with disabilities or the elderly.
SSP (State Supplement Program): State-level cash assistance that supplements SSI.
Section 8: Federaly funded housing voucher program managed by HUD.
SNAP: State-managed food voucher program (usable like cash with some restrictions).

HEAP: Heating voucher program provided by the state.

Earned Income Tax Credit: Federal credit that reduces taxes on earned income.

Summer EBT: Summer food voucher for children out of school.

Medicaid: State-operated health insurance for low-income individuals, with little to no cost.
Childcare Subsidies: Vouchers for child care, managed by state/county agencies.
Other Terms
