Summer Youth Employment
What is SYE?
Summer Youth Employment (SYE) is a state-funded program via RochesterWorks! and/or the City of Rochester providing youth with their first work experience. They learn the skills needed to obtain and retain employment while advocating for the betterment of their community through meaningful service-learning projects.
What Does SYE Do?
Arranges for paid work experiences
Administers job readiness training
Guides through career exploration options
Supplements academics by providing hands-on experiences
Provides exposure to addressing issues of public concern
Guides through a path for college readiness
