What is
CBA?

Community Building In Action (CBA) is a federally-funded program that serves as a liaison between the City of Rochester, neighborhood business associations, and neighborhood groups to improve the business environment in the northeast quadrant.

Provide training and services which allow individuals and resident groups to shape their environments and take a greater role in their community.

What Does CBA Do?

  • Provides community outreach and support via Neighbors ROC

  • Administers ongoing series of training via Community Leadership Development

  • Identifies strategies to increase resident physical activity via Rochester Walks! and the Center for Community Health partnerships

  • Leads a volunteer-based home improvement project via Group Work Camps

Participant Eligibility

  • Although the CBA projects are geared for low-income individuals and challenged neighborhoods, everyone is eligible to participate in our activities.
