What is
Strategies 2 Success?

Strategies 2 Success (S2S) is a federally and county-funded arts and academics after-school program from 3 PM to 6 PM, providing a safe environment for students to uncover and cultivate their gifts and talents. Students are offered specialty clubs (i.e., karate/jujitsu, dance, art, drama) in conjunction with their everyday activities. Overall, this program encourages students academically to become successful, accomplished, and healthy members of their families and the community.

On average, 100% of enrolled students complete at least one goal on their action plan with many completing several. In 2017, 50% of participated increased in school attendance with 66% of students raising their GPA consecutively each quarter maintaining a 3.0 or higher. Also, 90% of the students raised their grades at least one quarter.

Currently, S2S is partnered with Rochester Academy Charter School and continues the search for partnerships to provide the extension of learning, and thus, see the rise in graduation rates.
