Head Start staff completes MCC Early Care Certificate
Congratulations to 13 dedicated, tenacious and extremely hard working Head Start staff who successfully completed the Monroe Community College (MCC) Early Care Certificate in just 3 years. The culmination of their efforts came June 2 as they crossed the stage at MCC’s 59th annual graduation ceremony at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY. This visionary, trailblazing group completed one class at a time offered by experienced professors at a convenient time and location that fit their needs and schedules.

Monroe Community College (MCC) Early Care Certificate is the college equivalent of a CDA ( Child Development Associate Certificate), which upon completion will qualify a candidate to be eligible to apply for a Teacher Assistant or Early Head Start Teacher positions. ABC in partnership with MCC is looking to offer another opportunity for staff to pursue the Early Care Certificate. Interested? More information will be distributed during the upcoming 2022 Preservice in August.
