Members of Action for a Better Community's PROWD team visited the Rochester Presbyterian Home to spend time with residents.
Together, they enjoyed holiday treats, sang Christmas carols, and participated in festive activities. The students wanted to make sure that no one felt lonely during the holiday season.
“It's beneficial for our students because they're getting the opportunity to hear stories and learn about the different paths and they're also giving back to the community and then for the residents, they're having the opportunity to have the youth come and play games with them and sing for them and just have an enjoyable experience for the holiday season,” said Shamira McClain, director of youth services at Action for a Better Community.
