Project YOU

Description of Services: Project YOU is a program specifically  designed to address the unique needs of girls that are at risk of being victimized or perpetuating violence.  Understanding that girls have unique developmental pathways and needs, this program addresses those needs through weekly group meetings and one-on-one mentoring. The goal of Project YOU is to help girls:

  • Be proud of who they are
  • Make safe and healthy choices
  • Succeed in school and life
  • Build safe and healthy relationships
  • Become leaders and change makers in their community

Project YOU services include mentoring, advocacy, skill development workshops, employment services, academic support services, along with follow-up services, and community engagement.

Target Population: Project YOU works with girls ages 12 to 18 of all ethnicities, from Monroe County, who are at the highest risk of being victimized or perpetuating violence and are from families with low-income.

Location of Services: Project YOU is located in downtown Rochester at 49 Stone Street, fourth floor.
