New Directions

What is New Directions?

New Directions (ND) assists those whose lives have been affected by alcohol and other drugs. The program offers qualified health professionals who provide treatment and counseling services that include chemical abuse evaluations, group and individual treatment sessions, trauma-informed care, family sessions, recovery management, relapse prevention, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and support groups.

Working with the belief of addiction being a family disease, the staff works with and assists each client and his/her family as needed through every step of treatment and rehabilitation. ND ensures that services are accessible and coordinated for each individual to obtain and maintain a successful and long-term life free of substances. The program additionally works with community resources that help develop wholeness, promote optimal well-being, open access to care and increase personal self-sufficiency.

Participant Testimonials

  • "My counselor is very good. He teaches us to plan goals and have a plan, because a man without a plan is destined to fail. He also teaches us that good change is very important and to never be afraid to better yourself or to step in unfamiliar territory."

  • "I am now attending group here at ABC through New Directions. Once again I completed this back in 2017. My counselor Mr. William is a good motivational speaker to me. He has a lot of information on addiction which I think helped me with my recovery."

  • "I am at New Directions because I know I have an addiction problem, and what I learned here was to be accountable and self will plays a big part of my problems. Accept that I am powerless over my use."
