In 2010, CBA launched a partnership to enhance training for existing and emerging leaders. The vision of the Community Leadership Development Partnership is to strengthen the leadership capacities of individuals and communities to act on their shared visions and challenges.
This program will prepare emerging grass-roots leaders and citizens by identifying the principles of leadership. The program has 9 customized training modules which emphasize participatory exercises and case studies. The mission/outcome of this component is to:

inspire and encourage new and emerging leaders

provide technical tools to effectively address vital issues in the neighborhood

supply access to information and technical assistance that supports ‘best practices’ in community building efforts
This program is unique in that it:
- has an emphasis on grass roots citizens
- links with community building efforts
- includes customized materials and training modules
- is participatory with applied learning and case studies
